In FIM 2010 R1 I see 6 workflow instances that are running for more than 10 days. These workflows are associated with some request which were in Authorizing status. The approval of these requests failed. Today I tried to cancel the request and another request was produced which remained for more than 20 minutes in PostProcessing Status. In this situation I cancelled the request in PostProcessing status and they passed in CancelPostProcessing Status. But the requests that I tried to cancel, remain in the Canceling status and the Workflow instances associated with them are still running.
All other request for approval that use the same workflow as the above request are completed normally. Can i delete the workflow instances that are running for more than 10 days? If not, will this workflow instances always be running?
